Tristan Rogers reups with Y&R

Tristan Rogers will be sticking around The Young and the Restless, but could he pop up on other projects? The actor seems to think so -- and that better story for his alter ego might soon be on the way.

Aussie Tristan Rogers fired up Genoa City when he returned as The Young and the Restless' Colin Atkinson early last year, but has the flame since fizzled? The actor hinted that perhaps it has, but 2015 will see the character roaring again.

Rogers took to Twitter to announce that he's excited to return to work on January 6 after a holiday trip Down Under. "Ok guys and gals I'm back from Oz and raring to get back to work," he wrote before teasing that his alter ego's slightly snoozy storyline will be revved up in the new year. "What can I say? Not a whole lot. However, it seems more compelling than some of the 'fare' we've had of late. Think you'll like it."

The actor then went on to reveal that he wants to make the most of however much time he has in Genoa City. "I'm at Y&R for another year. Doesn't mean I won't do other stuff," he teased. "But my mind is there and I want to make it prominent in daytime."

Prior to his current stint as Colin, the actor played the character from December 8, 2010, through October 25, 2011, and again on May 9, 2011. He's also known in the soap community for his role as General Hospital's Robert Scorpio and The Bay's Lex Martin.

Do you think Roger's storyline needs a boost? What would you like to see happen? And do you hope that the actor will stay with Y&R beyond the end of the year? Share your thoughts in our Comments section below, on our message boards, or by clicking here to submit Feedback.
