Congratulations are in order for The Young and the Restless alum Jason Canela (ex-Arturo Rosales), who proposed to his girlfriend Janaina Reis and received yes as the answer.
The actor shared the exciting engagement news on social media via a photo that shows him on bended knee along with the caption, "#SheSaidYes Well, technically she said let me think about it... but I'm pretty sure she was joking lmao... I hope she was joking hahahha @janaarc were you joking?"
Reis, a model from Brazil, shared an accompanying post in which she enthuses, "I love you and YES YES YES a million times!!!!!!"
On a more serious note, Canela's post also read, "I truly believe we can make each other as happy as we made this kind individual the moment I proposed to you for the rest of our lives. I look forward to loving you, to exploring life with you, to exploring you & to being your rock when you need rocking woman LOL seriously though, I love you with all my MIND, BODY & SOUL. I could not have chosen a better partner to do life with."
Several Y&R stars shared their congratulations on Canela's engagement post, including Sasha Calle (Lola Rosales), Hunter King (Summer Newman), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman), Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Zach Tinker (Fenmore Baldwin), Noemi Gonzalez (Mia Rosales), and former CBS Daytime head, Angelica McDaniel.
Canela joined Y&R in February of 2018 and quickly found himself in a romantic storyline with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that eventually led to a romance with Abby and the addition of several other Rosales family members. However, though he was offered a contract in July of 2018, the CBS soap chose to go in a different direction, and Canela announced his departure in March 2019.
Prior to coming to Genoa City, Canela starred alongside All My Children alum Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) in the baseball series Pitch and in the Spanish series Donde Esta Elisa, Cosita Linda, and Ruta 35.
